Independence for Smiley Riley : )

Hi Friends of Riley! This is Cheryl, or as I am more commonly known as "Riley and Evan's mom." Riley recently turned 19 and is progressing from Clairemont HS to an Independence & Living Skills program. If you know Riley, who was born with Cerebral palsy & has Epilepsy, you know how much she loves adventures, big and small. Whether it's skiing in Mammoth, surfing in her hometown of San Diego, ziplining in Costa Rica, or spending a day hanging out with friends at the mall - she LOVES to be making the most of LIFE! She uses a powerchair for her mobility, even though it is perfect for our handicap van it is extremely limiting for other modes of transportation. Riley is ready to spread her wings a little bit and travel locally with friends who have cars, and use ride-sharing services like Uber/Lyft. This requires a lightweight folding chair that can fit in a trunk but also has all of her safety and positioning needs met: this is where the special needs Convaid Rodeo Titling Stroller comes in and saves the day! This rugged stroller will provide her with years of safe and comfortable alternate mobility, allowing her the freedom most typical adults enjoy of spending time with friends around town without having to be tethered to a parent. This chair can also be used on trips out of town when her powerchair could be damaged, such as on trips involving a plane ride, or even when her powerchair is in the shop for repairs.
