Independent Living Centre Appeal

Please help us to help the children of Diamond Valley Special Development School. We are asking for help to raise funds much needed to build an Independent living centre/house. The building already exists, however it needs to be renovated. It needs to have a kitchen installed for disabled children to learn day to day tasks such as washing dishes,  food preparation, cooking, setting the table etc. Then off to the laundry where it will need a washing machine, so the children can learn how to sort colours, towels etc. Then to wash and to hang up on a line. A wall inside the building needs moving to make a bedroom so the children can learn how to make a bed and put clothes away etc. Finally a bathroom where they will learn how to wash their hands, face etc. To clean their teeth and brush hair. To turn on taps etc. Outside a rear access ramp needs building and finally a functioning vegetable garden where food can be grown and cared for then eventually cooked in the kitchen. All funds raised will go directly into the Diamond Valley Independent Living Centre fund. Any additional funds will be used for equiptment or projects solely for the development of the school.
