INDIA 2024 Guides International Trip

Hi my name is Darcy. Girlguiding is a huge part of my life. This year I have been lucky enough to be selected to join Girlguiding Cumbria South international trip to India in August 2024.

This is an amazing opportunity to travel with 12 other local Girl Guides and 4 leaders to the WAGGGS World Centre, Sangam, in Pune, India.

Whilst visiting Sangam we will be participating in a community action project, volunteering and supporting locals in the area.

We will be developing skills to bring home and inspire our Girl Guiding friends. We will also learn more about Girl Guiding around the world, develop knowledge from an international perspective on issues that matter to members throughout WAGGGS and learn about the traditions and cultures of India.

After our stay at Sangam, we will be travelling on to visit the Taj Mahal in Agra as well as touring Delhi before coming home.

Between now and August 2024, each member travelling to Sangam needs to fundraise £2,800 to be able to take part in this amazing opportunity. This will be fundraised through several independent and group events such as gofundme, bake sales, quiz nights and more.

I am also doing Darcy Doodles where I draw pictures for a donation.
