Indian COVID19 Crisis

Cairns Indian Association (CIA) is a Not for Profit organization based in Cairns ,Australia which organizes cultural events for the Indian community living in Cairns  .We currently have  100 active members in our association  who volunteer and contribute in organizing the cultural events  in Cairns .The President of Cairns Indian Association is Dr. Rashmi Ajjavara who is in charge of the fund  raiser  and will be responsible to make sure the funds reach the people who are most affected by the current COVID 19 crisis in India .

CIA is organizing a fundraiser for the millions of Indians impacted by the severe 2nd COVID 19 wave which has devastated the Indian health care system and has overwhelmed it .The number of new cases are crossing 300,000 every day and the death toll is increasing and has touched 3000/day as of the 28th April. With more than 2.6 million active cases in the country, hospitals are struggling to accommodate new patients and there is an acute shortage of hospital beds, ventilators and oxygen which is causing serious threat all over the nation.

India needs help right away and many people around the world are asking how can we help! Right now our top priority is to quickly acquire more Oxygen concentrators and Oxygen Cylinders .

Cairns Indian Association (CIA) is in touch with a senior most and esteemed Physician in India who is currently actively associated with the COVID hospitals based in Delhi . The funds raised through this campaign will be directly donated  with the guidance of a senior Physician  to   to buy Oxygen concentrators though  a reputed and established medical company -MEDOXY . We hope to buy  a minimum of 10 Oxygen concentrators  at this stage depending on our funding . This Oxygen concentrators will be then distributed to hospitals and clinics to reach the people who are in dire need especially to the lower socioeconomic Indians affected by COVID 19  .  Once we have raised enough funds we will then sent updates to all our donors ( with proof of purchase and pictures ) in regards to how the funds were spent and how it has helped the people of India in the hospitals.

Every dollar donated will help to save lives and help Indians to breath!
