Indie Filmmaker Aileen Kyoko's Comedy Shorts

Aileen Kyoko is an award-nominated writer, director, and actor. We are raising funds for the post-production needs around her latest projects, which include two short comedy films!

This is where we need your help. After co-creating and filming these shorts in March 2023, we are raising $2,000 to cover editing, color, and sound. Aileen has always been a resourceful producer, often able to cover her own projects' costs from her day job. However, with a slowdown in that industry, we are looking to procure the remaining funds through our network of supporters.

We intend to use these materials as a calling card for future work. Aileen intends to submit the projects to festivals as well as online distribution platforms. With your contribution, you are helping underrepresented independent filmmakers forge their own path in an ever-changing industry.

About the Shorts:

Don't Hate Me follows a woman's apology for a social faux pas, which ends up being met with a socially anxious person's worst nightmare: hatred.

Ghosted is the not-so-classic tale of an ex-fling haunting you after they've passed on, while a fame-hungry friend tries to capitalize on the encounter.
