To help Indigenous Pataxo Tribe - Earth Guardians

Hi, Marina here from the Faraway Fields - Hardest Harvest episode which documented my time living with the beautiful Pataxo indigenous Tribe in Brazil. In Brazil the Pataxo have very little support, their lands are constantly under threat from Eucalyptus plantations, coffee farms and dairy farms. The Pataxo just want to protect their indigenous lands, trees, water, wildlife, they know that the land gives them life and so it should be protected. However as a gentle kind people they are under threat and so I would like to raise some money for them (they get no support from Government, no social welfare, no funding for projects). This money will go towards new tyres for their timber trailer (please see the pictures of what we used to go to the forest to collect wood to build the flour shed, these tyres are about to collapse); to provide money for resources and trees for their reforestation projects; to provide food and basic supplies like a water hose in the conflict camps where they have set up villages in their own lands to take them back, to help with legal support and help towards building a Cultural Centre in the village of Barra Velha where I was staying, all support is so welcome.

The Pataxo Indigenous Tribe are the true guardians of the Earth and we need to help them where they have been let down. Capitalism is a real threat to their culture, but they have strong warrior heart and are not giving up, they will continue to fight to protect their lands, their culture, their people - themes that are all close to the Irish Heart. This money will go directly to the Pataxo Association in the Barra Velha village, every penny. Thank you so much for whatever you can give xxx
