Indigenous Peoples Resistance Day in Belize
Donation protected
We finally have the opportunity to celebrate a massive milestone in Belize. After many centuries of discrimination and subjugation of the Maya people, October 10th, 2022, will be a momentous occasion as this day is finally recognized as a day to celebrate the Indigenous peoples of Belize. Join us as we celebrate the first Indigenous Peoples Day of Belize. The cultural preservation group, To'one Masehualoon NGO, has worked tirelessly for the past five years to safeguard and revitalize the Yucatec Maya culture. The Yucatec Maya language classes and Yucatec Maya children's summer programs have spawned momentous success. As a result, we continue educating on the grandeur of the Yucatec Maya culture and instill in our people the importance of being immensely proud of our rich heritage. As we highlight this milestone, all proceeds of this fundraiser effort will be applied towards a full day of family-centered celebration. We will commence the day with a Yucatec Maya spiritual gratitude ritual to the cardinal points. Then, there will be Yucatec Maya foods, drinks, games, prizes, a Maya ball game demonstration, music and much more. We are requesting your financial support to make this celebration dream an unforgettable reality.
Thank you for your generous contribution to this historic occasion in Belize. Please donate today.
