"Dive" Video Campaign - Indigenous Solar Project

Tax deductible
About me and the project:

My name is SANJAY and I am a singer, songwriter, and producer from Los Angeles with a mission to inspire personal transformation through my music. My vision is to create music that inspires liberation, propelling listeners into discovering the enormous power that resides within them.

While my dedication to music has taken the form of performing, producing, and engineering, I’ve found artistic inspiration in periodically taking "spiritual detours". These detours have led me to study indigenous wisdom, which has prompted deep inner transformation. The inspiration and ancestral wisdom have inspired me to create art that is a vehicle to help heal and awaken others to their own magic.

One of the powerful teachers I was given the opportunity to connect with is Ninawa Pai Da Mata, the spiritual leader of the Huni Kuin people in Acre, Brazil. Ninawa comes from an unbroken lineage of master Pajés, or shamans, and musicians. Since he was a child, he has been on the spiritual path and has undertaken the highest initiations (dietas) of his tribe, some of which consisted of up to an entire year of isolation and fasting in the forest. Ninawa has made a lasting impact on my life, and so together, alongside my friend and actress Oona Chaplin, and the team at Blend Creative, we have co-created a video about spiritual transformation and diving into the depth of the soul in order to find the light. We created this video to capture the essence of the Huni Kuin and the wisdom that they carry through the lineage of their ancestors.

As an expression of my deepest gratitude for the Huni Kuin, I wanted to give back and uplift the indigenous communities that have held so much wisdom and space for global transformation. This video is a fundraiser to say Thank You. Your donations and purchases will go toward helping to build a system of solar power in the Huni Kuin Village, Novo Futuro. I am working alongside The Boa Foundation, a UK-based non-profit organization that works with first nation communities to support land conservation and cultural preservation.

The Boa Foundation serves as a bridge between indigenous communities and the global north, weaving traditional wisdom and modern technology to create a world where wisdom and knowledge come together. The Boa Foundation has alliances with over 40 indigenous elders from all over the world and together are actively participating in the transformation of the planet. It is a privilege to partner with them in what is, to me, a deeply meaningful endeavor.

Let's hit this $25,000 goal to help the Huni Kuin become a more self-sustaining and sovereign nation! As The Boa Foundation is UK Based, our donations will be done through GVNG a 501 c3, and will be tax-deductible.

I will post updates on the project here and how the monies are and have been spent. Below is a proposal of how we plan to use the funds.

Please read below for a detailed description of the project:

Project Details:

** Provide two Huni Kuin communities in Rio Humaitá with solar energy.
** Install 4 stationary batteries 220-240 Ah (the same model as Image 2) and 2 solar panels 330W.
**Install a pure sine wave power inverter 1000W (24V-127V) of greater quality, and one MPPT charge controller 20A.

In the Festival area of the village Novo Futuro that covers many Huin Kuin
houses, we are going to strengthen the current system by:

**Installing 4 new stationary batteries 220-240 Ah and 2 solar panels 330W, a pure sine wave power inverter. 1000W (24-127V), and 2 MPPT charge controllers 20A and 5,000 meters of cable.

At the village Espelho da Vida, where there are approximately 13 houses and no
electricity yet, we will:

**Install a single system (with 4 solar panels 330W, 8 batteries 220-240Ah, a pure sine wave power inverter 1000W and 2 MPPT charge controllers 20A) that is able to feed about 40 lamps and recharge electronic equipment. We will install about 4,000 meters of cable.

The project also includes working on education, conducting maintenance
classes for interested youth and community meetings to clarify questions and teach the indigenous about the optimal use of solar energy.

During this trip, APOTI (with its own resources, not included here) will perform
technical visits and provide maintenance to the villages Vigilante, Boa Sorte, and Boa Vista for revisions. It will also be ideal to install the solar pumps in Novo Futuro and Boa Sorte, indicated in the project previously sent to Boa Foundation, gathering both actions in one trip in order to reduce the budgets and eliminate double costs.
