Indigenous Day Honoring Women
Indigenous People's Day is a celebration to learn and participate in the cultural lives of Indigenous Peoples and to commemorate our history as First Nation Peoples of Turtle Island (Americanas). We invite you to celebrate with us at our local event in Olympia Washington, honoring Indigenous Peoples on October 9th, 2017, typically observed as Columbus Day, on the steps of the State Capitol, Heritage and Sylvester Parks.
OUR GOAL IS TO RAISE $2000. All funds raised will 100% be used in the planning and coordination of the event. Our project is 100% volunteer.
YOUR CONTRIBUTION will assist us in the providing an event and rally with Indigenous speakers, food and cultural activities for the entrie family to celebrate Indigenous People's Day! Please help! Even $10 or $20 will help us reach our goal!
(this event is sponsored by Matriarchal Indigenous Sisters and Two-Spirit Society (M.I.S.T.S.). If you would like to volunteer, pelase message us on our facebook page, http://www.facebook.com/events/728573420675154/?ti=cl&mref=mb .)
