Chief Black Fox is on a mission to educate the public on the movement in Standing Rock and provide ceremonial blessings based on traditional Dakota heritage.
Delbert Pomani is a Dakota Sioux from the Crow Creek Tribal Band in Fort Thompson, South Dakota.
His father is from the Crow Creek Tribal Band. His mother is from Standing Rock. Chief Black Fox carries the blood of Chief Sitting Bull, Chief Rain in the Face, Chief White Ghost, and Chief Gal.
He is passionate about informing the public on updates from Standing Rock, the importance of pure water for the people, and bringing resources to the vulnerable, who live on critical areas of indigenous lands.
Most recent events include providing moral support for the families of the water protectors, and various water protector movements, and sending toys for Christmas to the underprivileged children of the Navajo and Sioux Nation.
Vulnerable families and native people are still in need of sustainable resources for their communities, as well as funding for the elderly and children. Chief is working with various groups such as the Veterans Support Group that sends aid to the reservations as it is needed.
One of the purposes of this funding is to support travel expenses for the following:
· to educate and inform the public
· to share his Native American wisdom to inspire passionate volunteers to help Native Communities
· to conduct ceremonies and perform water blessings in schools and homes.
Funding will also be used towards water sampling and earth samplings in the Four Corner Areas (CO, UT, AZ, NM), to determine the effects of fracking and mining. Currently, Chief is working with local Scientists from the Southern California area on urgent issues such as the San Onofre nuclear waste that poses a serious threat to human lives and our environment.
**Due to the series of recent events and the forceful takeover of the Standing Rock Camp by Dakota Access Pipeline, it is more urgent than ever to keep the lines of communication open directly with the Elders and stand up for them. This fight for human rights and protection of our natural resources, is only beginning.
Recent alligations of key officials from Standing Rock of embezzelment is now under investigation. A portion of the funds are going to the elders to keep the unification going on and the fight against the pipeline. The elder appointed for this mission is Teresa White Mountain a full blood from Standing Rock and a spokesperson for the elders there.
**An immediate need for Chief Black Fox's mission, is reliable transportation and help with lodging, food, and gas expenses while on the road.
Chief also has a vision of purchasing land and opening the first Native American Library and Healing Center near Carson, Nevada with the intention of connecting all the tribes and peoples in unity.
The Healing Center would incorporate Native ways of healing, such as Peyote Ceremonies, Vision Quest, and Sweat Lodges.
Also he has a vision of a Libary filled with Native stories that are true to the history of his people, as well as a hospital that has doctors and nurses administering herbal remedies of the native peoples plant medicines.
We hope you will join us and support the efforts of Chief Black Fox during this time of awakening to the higher consciousness of coming together as one people, one sovereign nation, one in love and peace for each other and Mother Earth.
May the Great Spirit Bless each one of you !
Aho!
