Indi’s fundraiser for Limb Kind Sri Lanka 2023

Hello, I’m Indi Hewavita. I am a husband to a beautiful wife, a father of four children, prosthetist orthotist, and a wanna-be farmer. I grew up in Sri Lanka during a time of upheaval and civil war. I saw the deep wounds that war and instability can leave behind in it’s wake. Sri Lankans are a resilient people. Even in the most difficult of times they smile, show kindness and hospitality. Now, living far away from that tumultuous past, I have been given an opportunity to serve the most vulnerable of Sri Lanka’s people…her children with limb loss.

This summer, I will be traveling to Sri Lanka as a volunteer with Limb Kind Foundation, an incredible organization dedicated to serving children with limb loss all around the world. As a prosthetists orthotist, I am humbled and grateful for this opportunity to be able to design and fabricate prosthetic limbs for Sri Lankan youth living with limb loss and limb difference.
