Teresa's Trash Cart, A Volunteer Trash Removal Effort

Teresa's Trash Cart began as removing trash in the Oxford Circle underserved neighborhood of Lexington Kentucky. I wanted to make a difference in my corner of the world when I retired.

As I reduced the volumes of trash, folks started to notice and businesses started taking care of their areas of responsibility, sprucing them up and making the area more inviting and cleaner for all.

I have taken on areas of Lexington where I see piles of trash and work to gain more traction in engaging others to do the same.

I have young volunteers who are helping me now, too, as well as neighbors carrying buckets and grabbers in our neighborhoods.

Together, we can move mountains and make this world a cleaner, safer place for all!
