Hello! My name is Amanda Osburn, and I am Mindy's older cousin . I would like to start by thanking everyone who has taken the time to visit this page to read Ross and Mindy's story.
Ross and Mindy got married on October 7, 2017. They both love children, and decided to start trying for a family right away. They recently found out some devastating news, but they never lost hope to start a family.
For anyone that doesn’t know Ross and Mindy, they absolutely love children. It is hard to put into words, but you can visibly see them light up when they are around their friends’ kids, and family. And kids love them too! All their friends’ and family's' kids love when Ross and Mindy come over to play. You can’t help but smile when you see both of them interact with kids and how much love they have for children. It breaks my heart knowing how much they want children of their own and how difficult this process has been on them.
After more than $1,000 in failed fertility treatments, their doctors recently told them that the only option for them to have children is adoption or using a donor sperm and IUI. IUI stands for, Intrauterine insemination. For those of you that may not be familiar with infertility treatments, the process is expensive and is not covered by insurance. All funding for any procedure is due up front before the fertility clinic will proceed. The costs are around $2,000 per cycle, not including other testing, consultation appointments, medications, etc. You typically need between three and six cycles to conceive.
Initially they were hesitant about allowing me to start this page for them, but I was able to convince them that it isn’t a bad thing but, rather, provides an opportunity for friends and family to bless them. Those of you that know Ross and Mindy can attest to the fact that they both would go out of their way to help a friend or family member in need without a second thought. They will give until they have nothing, and ask for nothing in return. Now is our opportunity to return the favor!
No matter what amount you can give, everything helps. If you can’t give financially right now, you can still help through sharing this page with family and friends through social media or email and through PRAYER. Every additional person that sees this page is an extra opportunity for prayers and donations. We believe in the power of prayer and God’s ability to perform miracles, which is what the creation of life is!
