Informed Village enters GNI Boot Camp

On September 1st the Evanston Collective media team was accepted into the Google News Initiative Startups Lab Boot Camp. 259 teams applied from the U.S. and Canada and 24 teams were accepted. The Evanston Collective is seeking funding that would allow us to focus our full attention on this intense eight-week online boot camp that helps early stage journalism entrepreneurs start a financially viable news business. If we exceed expectations, we’ll have a leg up in being accepted into phase 2 of this pilot program by Google.
