Injured 12 Year Old Girls Recovery Fund

Even after the horror of having their home shot about 20 times, the Rogers family has repeatedly expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude! As evil-seeming and traumatizing the events were on that early morning of November 12th, the Rogers family is thankful and grateful the situation wasn’t worse. Of the 20 shots fired, one struck their 12 year-old daughter (1 of 8 children) in the back of the head; fortunately, the young girl survived. Unfortunately, the family is now left with a number of serious challenges, including reconstructive surgery, physical rehabilitation, vision and speech therapy, as well as continued specialized care and accommodations for their daughter. Their hope is to provide their daughter with a safe, peaceful environment where she can receive the needed extra attention and specialized care which may, hopefully, strengthen her and lead to the chances of a healthy and full recovery.

In addition to the medical needs of their daughter, the family faces the challenge of finding a new place to live. Understandably, as a result of having their home riddled with bullets and the resulting collateral damage, the family has been forced to move. As of now, the Rogers family is temporarily living in a one-bedroom apartment, which includes their injured daughter. We are hoping to help the Rogers family by our humble efforts to raise the funding needed to get them into a suitable residence, as well as assist in the daughter’s medical bills and overall recovery process. We sincerely appreciate any and all beneficial resources afforded the family, as we aid them in this process of working towards recovery.
