Urgent Support for suffering family

Friday April 26, 2024. A dr paralyzed my fiancées leg and caused severe back pain after being distracted during lumbar puncture. She has had many before this with NO ISSUES. Not only did he continue when she said she couldn't feel her leg, he answered his cell phone while he had a needle in her spinal column. (She has intracranial hypertension (reason for lumbar puncture))The other doctors are in the process of trying to figure out how to fix her. She's struggling with mobility and has to use a wheelchair fulltime. When speaking to insurance, they won't cover any modifications to home (she has to get out of the house by scooting onto the steps (live in rv)), wheels for wheelchair for non pavement, or the wheelchair scooter attachment that would help her get around unaided (live in the country and cant afford the accomodations and things she needs) doing her usual activities before injury. Her doctors want at home physical therapy 3 to 4 times a week, which her insurance doesnt cover and will be $150 plus a session. She has other health issues that this is going to make worse. Mainly her Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Its a connective tissue disorder that causes her joints to go in and of socket. Before this she was still able to do things and now shes pretty confined to the house. She has a 14 year old daughter whom she has to take care of. Not to mention they have plans with this summer that probably will not happen due to this. Steps are being taken to hold the Doctor accountable. Please help us get her back to some sort of independence and normalcy.

due to her health issues and now mine ( I need major back surgery), not sure how things will work. I always want to be honest and on the up and up. But honesty hurts when you can't afford to miss work eventho you're back pain brings y l j to your feet. I have a hole and tears drom L5 to S1 and fighting to get surgery. but going on fmla leave I run risk of losing our home and vehicle. we don't beg but are in need...please help
