My name is Ricky Kidd, finally exonerated after living a 23-year nightmare inside America's criminal legal system. Finally freed on August 15th, 2019, thanks to Professor and Attorney Sean O'Brien, Attorney Cynthia M. Dodge and The Midwest Innocence Project.

Since being released, I've spoken all across the country, sharing my cautionary tale and educating people about the complexities and nuances of our criminal legal system. In my travels, I realized there is a missing educational component when it comes to preparing our prosecutors for what they will face tomorrow. Since I've been home, I developed a training program for prosecutors and law students titled "The Cost Of A Prosecutor's Decision."
We completed the first successful training inside the DA office responsible for my wrongful conviction. I now would like to offer this training to other DA offices across the country, believing it is a robust solution to helping curb wrongful convictions in America. The goal is to be able to train the first 10 states/cities with glaring issues and high rates of wrongful convictions. To train each state/city will cost $10,000 with a potential to save innocent lives and millions in tax payer dollars.
Training Cost Your Support Will Help Cover :
Training Materials & Presentation | $4650
Cost of Venue & Meals | $2,500
Travel & Lodging | $2,200
These efforts can be made possible with individuals like yourself becoming involved & supporting. Please find it in yourself to donate to this type of initiative. After 23 years underneath the problem, I'm now working to become a part of the solution. I hope you will join me.
