Help Brian Pell Fight Stage 4 Esophageal Cancer
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Erika Pell, and I am reaching out on behalf of my amazing father, Brian Pell. My dad, at the ripe young age of 60, is bravely fighting the battle of his life against stage 4 esophageal cancer.
Brian, my dad, has always been a pillar of strength and love for our family. He is a devoted husband to my mom, Rosemarie, for 35 wonderful years. Together, they have built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories. He is also the proud father of one daughter—me, Erika—and the loving grandfather to two grand dogs, Riverly and Bandit.
A 1982 graduate of Eastern Hancock High School, my dad has always had a passion for the outdoors, with fishing being his favorite. Growing up, he worked on the family farm, raising hogs with his father, retired Lt. Col. Robert Pell. Brian was a 9-year 4-H member who showed both cattle and hogs. After graduating high school, he continued his involvement in 4-H by serving as a club leader, mentoring and guiding children through the program. He made sure to pass his love, passion, and respect for 4-H down to me, and I was a proud 10-year member because of my dad.
In addition to his love for family, farming, and the outdoors, Brian has always had a passion for baseball, playing into his young adult years on a league for fun. Him and my mom also enjoyed many years on a bowling team. These team-building and bonding experiences with friends instilled in him a deep appreciation for teamwork, fun, and dedication. He finds peace and joy in the simple pleasures of casting a line, being surrounded by nature, and his family.
For over 20 years, my dad was a construction manager and always balanced his time between his family and work exceptionally well. When the housing market crashed, Dad pivoted his career path and pursued a CDL. His dedication and hard work shone through as he supervised, drove, and eventually helped run a small dump truck business. Sadly, due to his illness, he has had to retire early.
Despite undergoing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and a major life-changing surgery, my dad's fight is far from over. Cancer still lingers in the area where the tumor was in his esophagus and has spread to some lymph nodes.
As a family, we are determined to support him in every way possible, but the financial burden is overwhelming. Medical bills, treatments, and daily living expenses have created a strain that we as a family cannot bear alone. This is why we are humbly asking for your help.
In addition to this GoFundMe campaign, we are holding a benefit on behalf of my father on August 24th at the Lions Club in Charlottesville, Indiana, located at East 25 North, Charlottesville, IN 46117. The benefit will include a live auction, bake sale, snacks/refreshments, and live music. For more information or donations, please feel free to contact me, Erika Pell, on Facebook or by phone which is listen online.
Your generous donation will go directly towards covering medical expenses, treatments, and ensuring that my dad can focus on his fight without the added stress of financial worries. Every contribution, no matter how small, brings us one step closer to giving Brian the fighting chance he deserves.
We are immensely grateful for your support, prayers, and positive thoughts during this challenging time. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us and helping my dad continue his courageous battle against cancer.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Erika Pell
