Inspire A Girl: Education Fund for Indian Girls
Tax deductible
The resource disparity between the upper and lower classes of developing countries has a substantial negative impact on the female population. Many women living in rural India have little to no say in anything concerning their homes or work. The root of this problem comes from a lack of female education. My goal is to provide an education for girls who lack the ability to receive it themselves for financial reasons. Their access to proper education will help them become productive members of society.
Last year, I visited a non-profit school in India and talked to the head of the school who introduced me to a girl named Surbhi. Her father died a few years ago, and her mother doesn't work. These circumstances made it difficult for Surbhi to afford an education. Through organized fundraisers, we provided the financial means for her to get the education she deserves. My work with Surbhi has inspired me to partner with Children International, a Kansas City-based organization, in order to fulfill the educational needs of more impoverished girls in India. Children International will use the funds from this campaign tp sponsor specific girls for yearly scholarships.
