Inspiration Foundation Tech Grant Award Fundraiser

Hi, my name Isaac Shapiro, I founded the Inspiration Foundation a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization in 2006 with my mom to continue her work to train blind and visually impaired individuals how to use adaptive technology to gain employment. 1 in 4 Americans has a disability, 70% of the blind and visually impaired are unemployed and only 35% of all individuals with disabilities is employed.
Today, Inspiration’s goal is to continue to provide Technology Grants to fund tech training centers for nonprofits that train blind and visually impaired individuals how to use adaptive technology to gain employment and live independent lives. This year we had 41 nonprofits apply for our Inspiration Tech Grants and funded 9 nonprofits.
In 2024, we are expecting to double the number of applicants and tech grants we give out to nonprofits providing adaptive technology training for blind and visually impaired individuals. To keep up with the demand for our Tech Grant awards, I created a Go Fund Me page to raise $100,000 over the next two months. We will be announcing our Inspiration Tech Grant winners at the Visonserve Conference in Kansas City, MO in April of 2024.
