In today's world, journalism is facing unprecedented challenges. Now more than ever, it is crucial for young people to understand the power of the press and what is at stake. The Parent Action Coalition for Education (PACE) is dedicated to this cause through our Journalism Education Enrichment Program (JEEP), which aims to inspire and guide youth toward careers in journalism.

JEEP provides young people with mentors from across the media landscape, including print, broadcast, and digital platforms. We emphasize the importance of the freedom of the press—a cornerstone of our nation's Constitution. With the help of volunteers and your generous contributions, we can equip the next generation with the skills and knowledge they need to excel in journalism.

Through JEEP, students will learn the art of investigative reporting, interviewing community leaders, and getting to the heart of the issues that matter. They'll explore the evolving landscape of journalism, including the impact of AI, and gain practical experience in researching, writing, and reporting the news.

Additionally, JEEP prepares youth to navigate the business side of journalism, including financial literacy and understanding the roles within a newsroom. We aim to cultivate well-rounded journalists who are not only skilled in reporting but also knowledgeable about the business dynamics of the news industry.
