On election day, you either had a great day or one of the worst days ever. Either way:
As humans and as a country, we HAVE TO come back together and figure out how to live and work with each other. (And rally AGAINST the tech that is dividing us.)
Help Us Bridge the Divide in a Post-Digital World
The election is over, and emotions are running high. For some, it’s a time of celebration; for others, there’s uncertainty and worry about what’s ahead. At the Institute for Digital Humanity (IDH), we believe this moment calls for unity, understanding, and positive action.
Why the IDH? Proven Experience in Tackling Digital Challenges
For over 20 years, IDH has developed practical, scalable solutions to combat misinformation, AI ethics concerns, and digital privacy threats. Our work brings together experts from diverse fields—technology, ethics, law, education, and civic engagement—to create lasting solutions that address the complex issues in our digital world. Through bipartisan initiatives and community-focused projects, we’ve helped countless groups stay informed and connected to the truth, and we’re ready to expand this impact nationwide.
And just the other day, WCCO & CBS Minneapolis recognized these efforts! Check out the news segment here.
What the IDH is Doing:
1️⃣ IDH TV Podcast: Our new podcast brings people from all walks of life together to discuss technology’s role in our world and how we can bridge divides.
2️⃣ "Reality Liferafts" for Communities: We build networks that help schools, communities, and organizations access accurate information, stay grounded in truth, and promote respectful dialogue.
Our Key Projects and Impact
The IDH has completed a range of transformative projects over the years, including:
Disinformation Networks: During the Minneapolis unrest, we created civic disinformation-fighting networks that helped residents stay safe and civil amid misinformation. We can now scale these networks nationwide, bringing them to classrooms, faith communities, and civic groups across the U.S.
AI Ethics: Through our Neighbors Not Numbers initiative, we advocate for ethical AI practices that respect individual rights and prevent exploitation. We offer educational materials to help communities understand AI's impacts and stay informed about how it affects their lives.
Free Speech: Stop Acting Like Robots is our initiative focused on promoting open dialogue and combating hate speech. We work with partners to educate communities on how to engage in respectful, meaningful conversations.
Privacy: With Privacy 4 All Period, we fight for the right to digital privacy, encouraging policies that protect individuals' data and prevent surveillance abuse.
Each project serves to create more informed, empowered citizens who can navigate today’s digital landscape thoughtfully and responsibly.
