INSULIN 4 SEKOU
Donation protected
Sekou has type 1 diabetes and his insurance was cut off during the pandemic. Since then, he has been paying out of pocket for insulin during an economic crisis. Insulin is extremely expensive and he has been having to ration out his doses which is incredibly dangerous and life-threatening. Sekou is a brilliant thinker, valued friend, and comrade to many. He is one of the sweetest people we know and we love him very dearly. Incredibly kind and selfless, we didn't even know he was having this problem until he used his own experience to help speak out about the injustices of the medical system. He spoke of having to wonder how long he has to live. Some of us have witnessed him go nearly faint from complications caused by this. We want to alleviate this immense stress for him and keep our Sekou healthy and alive. Please help our friend.
This fund will cover four months of humalog and insulin for Sekou until he is once again able to get insurance.
"I thank you for any and all support you can give. We shouldn't have to break the bank just to keep ourselves alive, but when the institutions around us aren't interested in doing that, we often have no choice. If you were generous enough to give to this cause, be generous enough to push for universal healthcare nationwide. The resources exist, they just need to be used. " -Sekou
