Intensive baby care unit

Donation protected
Hi my name is Rebecca. In April this year I lost my beautiful baby girl Sophia at only 23 days old. Sophia had unexpectedly been diagnosed with a rare condition known as Edward syndrome. Sophia was born at 36 weeks and weighed just over 3lb. My baby girl was cared for by an amazing team of doctors and nurses at wythenshawe Nicu also known as special care. They tried to make my journey as stress free as possible and I now want to try and give back a little and help other parents that are going through the most horrific time. I am raising funds to purchase handmade knit wear and keep sakes, premature clothes nappies and cotton wool as the hospital does ask you to take these items in. I want to take the stress away from families that don’t know their baby is going to end up on the ward. The plan will be to make up bags with essential items in. If anyones baby has been in icu you will know how hard the time was and how the little things meant so much.
The doctors and nurses do so much to care for not just the babies but the families too.
Please feel free to contact me with any items that could be donated including wool to knit items.
From the bottom of my heart thank you
