International Art Exhibition!

I am very excited to share that I have been invited to participate in the exhibition THE OCEAN BETWEEN ll. It opens on Saturday, July 20 in Hannover, Germany at the Weidendamm Gallery and Galerie Koch. Following that I will be participating in the International Art Symposium at Kreismuseum Syke which takes place July 22-July 28. This symposium will include workshops and a visit to Worpswede with artists and filmmakers involved. We will be collaborating, creating and experimenting during our residency at the museum with German, Austrian and US artists. I believe this exhibition will further my artistic development through KulturBruecke’s international linkages. This artistic exploration and alignment will create relationships for future exhibitions and more cross-cultural exchanges.
My art career spans over 30 years and includes highlights like Current Tendencies 3 at the Haggerty Art Museum, the Wisconsin Triennial, and solo exhibitions at the James Watrous Gallery of Wisconsin Art, The Wriston Art Center, Hoffmaster Gallery at Lawrence University, and the Wisconsin Academy of Sciences, Arts and Letters. My paintings and prints are in the collections of the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Sioux City Art Museum and in numerous private collections across the US and Europe.
Any donation at $50 or more will put your name in a drawing for one of my drawings, framed and ready to hang.
At $125 you can choose an 11 x 11” reproduction of one of the two images displayed on this letter. The reproduction will be printed by Paper and Ink Studios of Missoula, Montana who is collaborating with me on this fundraiser. It is printed on Canson PrintMaKing Rag paper and is a pigment print printed with archival inks as well as archival paper. Canson PrintMaKing Rag paper is a 100% rag cotton paper that is mould-made, one of the oldest paper-making techniques available. It is water resistant and has no optical brightening agents. It is designed to meet museum longevity requirements and is acid free certified.
With a $500 immediate donation - I will create a 7.75 x 9.75 “ pen and ink portrait of you (there is a high possibility of watercolor in it as well), on acid free, watercolor paper. This donation will require spending time with me so that I can do it well. And yes, it will be in my style and we can have fun negotiating what that will look like.
Your donation will allow me to take advantage of this opportunity to connect and collaborate through Kulturbruecke’s international art exhibition. You will help me develop the relationships which can get my work seen outside of the US and push my work to the next level of international visibility and open up opportunity for further exhibitions and collaborations.
