Hi I'm Chris Lofing, an independent filmmaker in Central California, AND... I'm officially and happily TAKEN lol.

I recently became engaged to the love my life, Andrea Barrón (Andy), who is from Saltillo, Mexico. I proposed to Andy on June 23, 2023 in front of a screening of THE FLASH at our local movie theater, with a homemade trailer-like video that played at the start of the film. Watch it here!

The video has been passed around all over the web with over 30M views! CRAZY!!

It was an incredible and memorable night and we are both so excited to start our next chapter. But as an international long-distance couple - this will involve some challenges...

Our current plan is to get married this fall with separate ceremonies in Mexico and in the U.S. to accommodate both of our families and those who cannot travel. This, along with the impending immigration of Andy to the United States, is going to be a financial challenge for us and, simply put, we could use all the help we can get.

Andy and I love the movies. As an entrepreneur and filmmaker myself, the term "starving artist" can certainly sum up my financial circumstances in seasons when movies just aren't getting funded, which has been the case more often than I'd like since the fallout from Covid, and rising costs/inflation has certainly put an additional strain on everyone.

What will the funds be used for?

We are so grateful to our friends, family and to anyone kind enough to consider donating and truly, any and every little bit will help.
