Hola my name is Fatima. I am aiding my sister’s pursuit of studying public health at UCLA with the goal of becoming a nurse. For those of y’all who have not had the opportunity to know Paola personally, she is a dedicated young woman who holds a passion for aiding others. During her time at community college, she was an intern at the Social Justice and Equity Center. Here she leads projects based on social justice initiatives, where she programs events for History and Heritage Months such as Chicanx History Month, Black History Month, and Women’s History Month. She helps systematically marginalized students feel welcome in the space by always having a warm smile on her face and interacting in meaningful conversations. 

Her goal of attending UCLA showcases both her compassion for others and her desire to make a meaningful impact in the healthcare field.
