Honoring Emily Stevenson’s Life and Legacy

We are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of Emily Stevenson on May 20, 2024 at the age of 28 leaving her nine year old son, Atticus. Emily was born in San Diego, CA on December 3, 1995. She was a beautiful, friendly, intelligent girl. Her family moved to El Centro, CA in 2004 where she was active in her church and school.

Emily loved the arts and extra curricular activities but her curiosity and motivation for education was exemplary. Emily graduated second highest GPA in her class with Summa Cum Laude honors.

After graduation she and her high school boyfriend, Keagan, had a son, Atticus Aleksander Lee. In August of 2015 they moved to Kentucky to start a new chapter. Emily worked as a chemist for Annulox Technologies while earning an Associates Degree in Arts and Science at Bluegrass Community College. Education was a high priority and she never stopped trying to continue her studies, not an easy task while single parenting with shared custody.

Emily will be missed by all who knew her. Although Emily will no longer be able to guide and support her son, Atticus, she would surely want him to value education as she did. Funds collected will be held for Atticus until he reaches adulthood at which time he can chart his own course. Hopefully he will follow in her footsteps and attend college.
