Help Sophia Achieve Her Dream of Studying Economics at UCL

Hello, my name is Sophia, and I have just received the unbelievable opportunity to study Economics at the University College London (UCL), one of the most prestigious schools in the world. As a minority student, it has always been my dream to pursue higher education at such an institution, and now I finally have that chance.

I’ve worked incredibly hard to achieve my goals and make my family proud. My GCSE and A-level results reflect my dedication—(GCSE- 8 x A*, 1 x A; A Levels - Mathematics: A*, Economics: A*, Chemistry: A*). These accomplishments are a testament to my determination and focus. However, despite my best efforts, I am facing a significant financial hurdle that threatens to keep me from realizing my dream.

The cost of tuition and accommodation for my first year at UCL is £50,000, a sum that is currently beyond my reach. So far, I’ve applied for multiple scholarships to raise the necessary funds, but opportunities for students in my circumstances—first-year, non-British, undergraduate—are very limited. With the deadline approaching fast, launching this GoFundMe campaign has become my last resort to make my dream a reality.
