I believe success is a process. And, it is my daily process. I invite you to please help me take a large leap...overseas!
Hi,
My Name is Kimane Juneau.
I am asking for YOU to go on this journey with me as I venture waaaayyyyy out of my comfort zone to earn a MFA in Actor and Performer Training. I recently was accepted into the Rose Bruford College , London’s acclaimed International Drama School of Theatre & Performance.
Upon my acceptance to the university, I received the following letter:

As you can imagine, I was ecstatic when I received the above news to further develop myself as an actor. Persevering toward a goal is my daily process and it has gotten me this far, and I am beyond grateful for this phenomenal opportunity.
As the oldest of five children from a single mother household, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity because no one in my family has traveled any real distance to pursue their dreams due to physical and mental health conditions. Born in this world as a crack baby, I strived to better myself emotionally, mentally, and spiritually even though I was sexually-molested, emotionally neglected, plus in and out of the foster care system all before Elementary. As challenging as it was not to let my experiences negatively impact my behaviors, I value the lessons, good and bad, and the power of being transparent and honest about the challenges I have experienced. As a result, I am able to persevere, especially through uncertain periods of my life. I honestly feel blessed that I have made it this far, in spite of! Statistically speaking, I was less likely to earn a Bachelor's degree in Sociology, but I did! And I was only able to because I humbled myself to ask for support and have been determined to face any adversity that comes my way.
Being considered as an unconditional student is an eye opener to new possibilities. Like Dr. Seuss, I am excited for all the places I’ll go. I recently received my Student ID, which made this opportunity appear even closer and more real! However, I must overcome another step to fully accept this opportunity. To avoid large student loan debt to pay my tuition and housing fees, I have been working 12 hours shifts as a Production Assistant since March 2021 and have applied to every scholarship that I am eligible for. Yet, I am still struggling to close this financial gap before August. I am asking you to help me reach my goal of $23,000 by the end of August in order to pay tuition and Student Visa fees. I am asking, humbly, for you to help me bring this dream to fruition.
My Journey into Acting

In the midst of attending California State University, Eastbay, I sought out acting as a hobby, aside from pursuing a Bachelor degree and holding leadership positions in Black Student Union (BSU), My Other Brother (MOB), and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Incorporated. Through those organizations, I worked with Oakland's Youth and college students. I discovered the importance of creating spaces for youth and adults to have discussions about masculinity, mental health, and authenticity (Knowing Thyself). In early 2019, I began to perform in various monologues and performing poetry pieces at open mic events around Oakland/San Francisco, and it was then that everything clicked for me! Through my performances, I was able to create a space for individuals to reflect and discuss the topics I discovered during my college years. Click to here and Here to watch the performance I have written and performed.
At the rise of the Pandemic, I devoted to take my hobby to the next level! Thus during the shut down, I was strategic with my time and went to study acting at my Alma mater, Mount San Antonio College, where I fell in love with the process of the craft, not only the product. One day in acting class, my acting coach/ professor mentioned the URTA's audition in class and I eagerly signed up for it after class. In January 2021, I had my list of schools, (Rose Bruford college was one of them), then I nervously auditioned in front of a panel of professors and acting instructors from local Universities and Universities across the globe. To my surprise, Rose Bruford college called me back! Since that moment I promised myself to take a longer road into my acting career in order to develop a deeper process in acting to hone my skills.
Having the opportunity to travel to London and attend Rose Bruford College means I would be able to further my education to improve as a storyteller and performer. And additionally to be a part of a larger community of artists who want to create space for people to reflect and openly discuss personal subject matter.
If I am successful in earning your support, I plan to use this opportunity to:
Expose myself in multiple forms of storytelling and acting in order to create stories that speak on Mental Health and spiritual growth.
Explore other cultural/social issues to further understand the effects of inequality, poverty, and mental health. I want to share these stories, in hopes to minimize those issues.
See how I can continue to expand my mind to others' beliefs, opinions, and values.
Lastly, I will work with an international acting agency to launch my professional career. This is an opportunity of a lifetime!

500-800 pounds/ $697-$1,115 USD thus for 2 years the lowest will be $16,728 and the highest $26,760. I am aiming for USD $916 or 656 pounds.
