Thank you so very much again for the incredibly generous support. With the invaluable gifts, we were able to raise $23,575 from individuals all across the country to fund an impactful varsity baseball season for 17 Carver Vocational-Technical High School students.
After winning consecutive city championships, Carver baseball moved up to Division I in Baltimore City School play for the 2024 season.
- In the more competitive division we scored 95 runs, stole 90 bases, blasted 61 hits, 16 doubles, 3 triples, and a home run. We recorded 217 outs - all good for a third place season finish - out of six teams.
- Finishing in the top half of this division is truly a success, and we are proud of the competing student-athletes for their dedication and commitment. Six of our students have graduated and are either working or attending their first year of college!

In 2025, we are planning to work with construction trade students to convert underutilized space (74’ x 24’) in Carver’s basement into a hitting and pitching center. Also next season, we are launching the “Trades Cup” game between Carver and Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School, the historic vocational high school on the east side of Baltimore city to celebrate the importance of vocational education.
