¡Hola, soy Lola! Tengo 28 años y vivo en Granada.

Hace cosa de un año comencé los estudios para convertirme en consejera bíblica a través del Centro de Consejería Bíblica (BCC) de Illinois, EEUU. Recientemente he completado mi certificación como “Lay counselor” o “competente en consejería bíblica básica”. Esto me cualifica para proveer servicios específicos de cuidado espiritual tanto a iglesias como a individuos, en áreas tales como la resolución de conflictos, los problemas matrimoniales, el abuso sexual, el trauma, la depresión, los trastornos de alimentación, etc.

¿Qué es la Consejería Bíblica? Es una terapia integral dirigida a individuos, familias y comunidades basada en esta convicción: la palabra de Dios (la Biblia) es suficiente para tratar exitosamente cualquier afección mental y espiritual, siendo capaz de restaurar a la persona desde su identidad más profunda, y de llegar allí donde otras terapias psicológicas no cristianas no pueden. Mi deseo es que este tipo de cuidado sea plenamente accesible a individuos e iglesias aquí en España.

Los evangélicos representamos menos del 2% de la población española, y las iglesias aquí están mayoritariamente formadas por nuevos creyentes o misioneros a tiempo completo que ya de por sí cuentan con una gran carga de responsabilidades. En general, hay una gran necesidad de personas que posean la formación necesaria y dispongan del tiempo para proveer el cuidado pertinente que las iglesias e individuos tanto necesitan.

Mi deseo es completar mi formación como consejera bíblica certificada para ser capaz, no solo de bendecir a la comunidad cristiana de mi país, sino también de ofrecer entrenamiento en español y otros idiomas para todos aquellos interesados en equiparse en la consejería. Créeme, ¡se necesita!

Es por esta razón que estoy lanzando esta campaña de recaudación de fondos, con el objetivo de cubrir los últimos gastos para completar mi formación. ¿Me ayudarías a materializar esta visión para la iglesia española?

El coste de lo que me queda por completar no supera los 900$ (840€), e incluye la matriculación para mis exámenes y el pago a un consejero que supervisará 50 horas de consejería que yo misma ofreceré a otros de forma gratuita. Hi! This is Lola, I’m 28 and I live in Granada (Spain).

About a year ago I began studying to become a Biblical Counselor through the Biblical Counseling Center (Illinois, USA). Just recently I completed my certification as “Lay Counselor”, which allows me to provide for extensive soul care both for individuals and churches, in areas such as conflict resolution, marital struggles, sexual abuse, trauma, depression, eating disorders, etc.

What is Biblical Counseling? It’s a holistic therapy offered to individuals, families and communities based on this conviction: the Word of God (the Bible) is sufficient to successfully treat any mental and spiritual condition, being able to restore the individual from its innermost identity and to reach parts of the soul that non-Bible-based therapies can’t. It is my desire to make this type of faith-based therapy available for individuals and churches here in Spain.

Evangelicals mount up to less than 2% of the Spanish population, and churches here are mostly made up of new believers and full-time missionaries who are sufficiently burdened with multiple responsibilities. In general, there’s a great need for Christians who are fully equipped and have enough time to provide for the pertinent care that churches and individuals so much need.

My desire is to complete the process to become a certified Biblical Counselor and thus be able to both bless the Christian community in my country, and also offer training in multiple languages for those who are interested in Biblical Counseling. Believe me, it is much needed!

It is for this reason that I’m launching this fundraising campaign, aiming to cover the remaining expenses needed to complete the certification process. Would you consider helping me materialize this vision for the Church in Spain?

The cost of what I need to complete is 900$ (approximately 840€), which includes signing up for the exams and paying a certified counselor overseas to supervise me as I cover 50 hours of free counseling with other people.
