Invisible struggles, Visible strength: Help Britni Heal

Britni came into my life just over a year ago at a Women's Empowerment event where she was one of the speakers. I vividly remember her dancing and openly acknowledging how uncomfortable it was, but she did it anyway. That moment was transformative for me because her honesty made my own discomfort feel more manageable.
Britni shared her story with a room full of women, speaking with passion, essence, love, and raw honesty. She didn't cut corners; she swore and stood out with her unique energy and diversity. She spoke about her hardships—losing both her parents at a young age, battling addiction, losing her unborn child, enduring mental health struggles, navigating toxic relationships, and coping with significant health changes.
Despite these obstacles, the woman who stood before us was powerful, loving, and full of purpose. Britni shared how she reclaimed her power and let her PAIN become her PORTAL to healing & growth. How amazing is this woman, I thought! She is out here unapologetically herself and what a beautiful being she is. Not hiding from her past but embracing it. Not afraid to own all of the parts that make her her. Showing up even when it’s scary or uncomfortable. Something changed that day when I listened to her speak. A spark was created. I felt something in me that I had never felt before just by witnessing her.
Over the next year, I became increasingly drawn to Britni's energy, and I now understand why. As an Inner Power Coach, she moves mountains. She helps women rebuild their stories, challenging old beliefs and creating new ones that empower them. Britni's effectiveness comes from her lived experiences—she doesn’t just walk the walk; she vibrates with passion. Her mission is to support women in cultivating self-love and true authenticity, changing the world one woman at a time.
Now, Britni needs our support.
Seven years ago, Britni got breast implants while still living in her old childhood stories, where those relationships supported the belief that she would be “complete” with breast implants. She didn’t do it for her, which is why immediately after the surgery, she regretted it. Which is also when her health began to decline. From the start, she experienced constant pain in her left breast, which was dismissed as being all in her head. This led her into a deep depression, hitting rock bottom as her external life mirrored her internal struggle.
About two years in, Britni had to undergo an intense surgery to remove her gallbladder, which resulted in a difficult recovery. Each year following, she developed new symptoms: extreme fatigue, brain fog, muscle weakness, joint pain, chest pressure, fevers, night sweats, tingling hands and feet, swollen and tender lymph nodes, dry skin, and more.
At this point, Britni knew something in her life needed to change. She started working with a Life Coach, taking active steps to address her unmet needs, build resources, and create a new narrative for her life. She began to feel internal shifts, she had no idea YET that her breast implants were causing such significant health issues.
Just before the COVID-19 pandemic, Britni discovered she was expecting. Tragically, she experienced a miscarriage, which broke her heart. The isolation of the shutdown made this loss even more difficult. Despite the overwhelming grief, Britni chose to fully feel her pain and then asked her higher power and her parents for strength and guidance, determined to let this heartache help her grow into the woman she is meant to be. She allowed her PAIN to be her PORTAL.
For about six months, Britni hadn't been seen by a doctor, but she knew something was wrong. She trusted that inner nudge. She requested blood work, and despite having had a small physique her whole life, she had gained about 40 pounds in a short period. Her symptoms persisted and worsened, and new ones continued to appear.
Eventually, Britni was told she needed to see an Endocrinologist because her thyroid levels were alarmingly high—over 5,000. She was diagnosed with Hashimoto's disease, an autoimmune disorder. The medication she was prescribed only made her feel worse. She could barely get out of bed, sweating through her clothes every night, and her eyes became so dry it was painful to function. Along with food intolerances and skin rashes.
In her quest for healing, Britni did extensive research and learned about the effects of gluten on her condition. She has been gluten-free for about 2.5 years now, which has been a crucial step in managing her symptoms. Britni has worked with naturopaths and functional doctors, and she is currently following protocols with a naturopath to heal her body. However, with the implants being foreign objects that cause ongoing inflammation, Britni often feels like she’s fighting an unwinnable battle. The inflammation, coupled with the numerous symptoms associated with Breast Implant Illness (BII), has made her journey incredibly challenging.
Britni's health has been on a severe decline due to Breast Implant Illness, and the only remedy is to have the implants removed. This surgery, known as breast explant surgery, comes with a significant cost.
Britni has fought long and hard on her own, but now she needs our help. By coming together, we can support her in this journey to regain her health and continue making a positive impact in the world. The costs associated with the surgery, including medical fees and post-operative care, are substantial and beyond her current financial means.
Britni never anticipated a need for a GoFundMe campaign due to a health crisis. We are humbly asking for your help. Your generous donations will go directly towards covering all of the expenses. Every single contribution, no matter the size, will bring her one step closer to regaining her life. Whether you can donate, send words of encouragement or simply share this campaign with your friends and family, every action helps tremendously.
From the bottom of our hearts, we are grateful for your support. Let's show Britni the power of community and remind her that she doesn't have to do this alone. She deserves to heal and continue shining her light on all of us. Thank you for being a part of her journey.
