Sean Wilson Fundraiser - Townsville Floods
Donation protected
It’s time to give back and help our friend and colleague Sean Wilson and his family whose life was changed by the recent Townsville floods.
We all know our Sean Wilson has been terribly impacted by the Townsville Floods, a once-in-2000-year rainfall event. If you’re like me, you may not have realised just how it has changed his family’s daily life as the cleanup and rebuild progresses. Did you know that Sean, Sandy, Zahra (13y) and Kalean (10y) are in a short term rental for around 6 mths and sleeping all together in one room with mattresses on the floor and hand-me down bedding sheets?
Their piles of clothing and belongings are stacked against the wall with no drawers for storage. The kids have lost all their school resources and they’re slowly replacing their essential belongings. They’ve had to purchase fridge, freezer, mattresses and washing machine(and that’s just the big ticket items) as so much was lost. Their credit cards are maxed-out and cash-flow has become a big issue for them as they await insurance assessment and payout.
This is your opportunity to help Sean and his family get back on their feet. Let’s rally together to support Sean and his family and show the power of community. Every little bit helps! Thank you
