Iowa Golden Gloves Foundation

The Iowa Golden Gloves is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. It is one of the 30 franchises to promote annual competitions of amateur boxing in the United States. We are devoted to providing excellent opportunities for amateur boxers to gain experience, demonstrate their hard work and years of training, and allow them to network with peers, coaches, and sponsors. We hold the Iowa Golden Glove annual tournaments for amateurs across the state to access the stepping stones to bigger endeavors such as the National Golden Gloves, Olympics, and/or a professional boxing career. Hundreds of dedicated administrators, coaches, trainers, officials, and counselors have unselfishly spent countless times and effort to assist young people in the development of personal character and athletic skills. Each year we provide the funding for the entire Iowa Golden Glove Champion Team to represent our state in the National Golden Gloves Tournament. This is an average cost of $30,000 per year.
