Iowa Tornado Recovery - Brant and Tanya McAninch

Hi, my name is Delinda, I am Brant's aunt. On Saturday, March 5, 2022, a tornado hit the Des Moines area, starting in Winterset and going through the Southeast side of Des Moines. Thank goodness Brant and his family were not at home during this time.

When they arrived home, they found destruction. The house had the roof ripped off, and three large trees had fallen inside. Everything inside had been damaged or blown out. In addition, two large Morton outbuildings were leveled with the tornado scattering the contents for miles.

Brant, Tanya and their two kids have lost almost everything. With no home and no salaries coming in, the cost of being displaced has impacted their lives. Yet, they are so blessed that no one was injured during this terrifying storm. The future is full of uncertainty about how they will recover from this terrible event.
