IPF Worlds SJ Powerlifting Championship - Romania

Hey, our names are Joshua Ngoka and Nonso Chinye, we are both friends and powerlifters who study at Christ's Hospital. After both winning in our respective weight classes in the National Powerlifting competition (Breaking National records as well)this year, we have been selected to represent Team GB at the IPF Sub Junior International Championships 2023 this August in Cluj-Napoca Romania.

We both have grown up in different circumstances but being able to attend Christ's Hospital as a result of their singular goal of giving people who have different backgrounds the same opportunities has led us down a path which got rid of any barriers that would've previously prevented us from being able to pursue our passions and dreams. And this path has led us to realise not only the talent we have for the sport but the joy we receive from it and the dedication we have towards it as well.

With us ending finishing up our last year at CH now we will eventually become Old Blues and be thrust into the world to fend for ourselves, but we will forever be grateful to Christ's Hospital as it helped us realise what things we truly have passion for in this life.

The IPF Worlds Championship is a self-funded event therefore any help no matter how big or small would be greatly appreciated. We want to be able to take up this amazing opportunity and make not only people who support us proud but doing it as Old Blues as well, letting the world know who we are.
