Ipswich Neonatal Unit & Thalidomide society

Hi, we are Ally, Pauline & Sharon, all nurses with many years experience in Neonatal care and Adult nursing. We have come together as friends to raise funds and awareness for Neonatal care and have also chosen to support the Thalidomide society. Through Ally’s links with the Thalidomide Society, who were involved in the baby Susan storyline, she visited the film set of Call the midwife earlier this year. After finding out about our fundraising efforts for the Ipswich Neonatal unit, the cast very kindly gifted us a signed copy of the Call the midwife book. 

We will be fundraising to help support families through their neonatal journey by providing them with extra resources and gifts to help ease their hospital experience. Having a baby in neonatal care can be very overwhelming for any parent, so being able to offer them some extra comforts means so much. We will also be making a donation to the Thalidomide Society.
