Ipsy Giveback Bags - End Period Poverty

Did you know, one in five girls in the US have left school early or missed school entirely because they did not have access to feminine hygiene products? I didn’t know either until I was trying to think of something to do with my old Ipsy bags! If you don’t know what Ipsy is, it’s a monthly makeup subscription that comes in a cute makeup bag. Each month I get a new bag and I toss it in my bathroom drawer with the others. That’s what gave me the idea for Ipsy Giveback Bags. I’m going to collect Ipsy bags, fill them with feminine hygiene products and then I’ll donate them to the local Middle or High school (both if I can collect enough bags). Although periods are completely natural, a majority of girls are embarrassed to walk through the school halls carrying pads or tampons which is where the adorable Ipsy bag helps! All donations will be used to purchase tampons, pads and bulk empty Ipsy bags on eBay. Even a small donation of $5 would go a long way. Think of the impact this could have on the girls in our community! Will you help me fight period poverty?
