Ira Mish Robbery

Hi, I am Jeff Knepper from Portland Oregon, a watch dealer for more than 40 years and IWJG charter member #35.

Many of you know Ira Mish as one of the hardest-working and trustworthy watch dealers in the business.

Ira and his wife Star are close friends of mine and many others.

For 40 years he has traveled to and set up at a countless number of shows all over the USA and internationally.

Ira has had many medical problems over the years but nothing seems to slow him down for long, he is always looking forward to the next show.

Recently Ira and Star drove down to the NAWCC show in LaMesa California and from there to the Long Beach Coin show.

They took along with them a big inventory to display at the Long Beach Coin show including many consigned items.

After having a reasonably successful show they headed home and were robbed about 75 miles north of Long Beach.

They lost almost everything including money, inventory and records. Fortunately, they were not injured.

At Ira's age, it will be very difficult to financially recover from this loss.

His biggest concern is being able to pay back his consignors.

Hopefully, as a group, we can raise enough money to help get him through.
