Iremide's Heart Surgery

Iremide Ademola was born on the 18th of February 2020 into a family of Mr. and Mrs. Olatunde Ademola from Ibeju Lekki, Lagos state.(Nigeria)

Iremide was diagnosed with a heart condition at 3 months and since then has been on frequent hospital visitations as a result of his health condition. A few months after his birth, he had fluid drained from his heart. He also has an enlarged adenoid and hernia.

My name is Tola Makinde, the Executive director and team lead at the MOYINOLUWA Rainbow Foundation. We have tried to raise funds through media and newspaper publication in Nigeria to no avail.

The clock is ticking for Iremide, as he is not able to sleep, sit by himself and breathe well. He was discharged from the hospital last week while on oxygen and currently ill and pale as of today. We hope to get support with funds for his surgery to avoid pulmonary hypertension.

He might be needing surgery for his adenoid removal and hernia but we need to save his tender heart first!

The cost for surgery is NGN5,000,000 or $11,200.00 US currency.

Morainbow Down Syndrome has only been able to raise $3300.00in 4 months.

My name is Tanya Brooks and I have been in communication with Morainbow Down Syndrome Foundation of Nigeria for over a year, as I am a DS Advocate and mom! When I saw the post about Iremide, I was compelled to take immediate action! Nigeria does not have access to GoFundMe and I knew if I could get the word out in the United States that my network of people would step up to help this precious baby!

I have personally viewed videos of this sweet baby boy in his current state and he needed this surgery yesterday!! Any donation is appreciated!
