“I resist this death sentence.”

TL;DR
Hi, I’m Jeff Bowman from Fairbanks, Alaska. I’m building IResist, a unique, one-of-a-kind online community where people can connect, share, and learn about alternative approaches to cancer treatment. It’s about giving power back to individuals—where it belongs. $10,000 will cover expenses while I dedicate full-time work to building this site. If you can help, with a donation or a share, it’ll mean everything. Thank you.
“A cancer diagnosis doesn’t have to mean the end.”
Hello, my name is Jeff Bowman. I live in Fairbanks, Alaska, and I’m creating something that I believe truly matters.
It’s called IResist—at www.IResist.com—and it’s a space for people who’ve heard the word cancer and felt the world fall out from under them. It’s for those who are searching for answers, for hope and for connection that doesn’t come with a price tag or a sales pitch.
IResist is a quiet, focused community where people can discuss alternative approaches to cancer—thoughtfully, respectfully and freely. It doesn’t promote any one treatment over another. It simply provides people a place to post, vote on and discuss various suggestions.
After all, we are the owners of our health. We have the final say.
The Reality We Face
At least two in every five Americans will face a cancer diagnosis in their lifetimes. And while the industry surrounding treatment is massive—over $100 billion annually—many people feel lost, unheard and unseen within it.
Not everyone finds his path through conventional medicine. Some are looking for something else. IResist is a place where people can meet, share and support one another.
A Better Way to Connect
Most online forums are chaotic. The common monolithic single-column page design makes it hard to follow who said what, or to go deep into a conversation that really matters.
That’s why I’m designing IResist with a threaded, tree-style layout that makes it easy to see conversations unfold. You can follow, reply and really engage—like pulling up a chair in a quiet room where everyone’s listening.
At first glance this may seem like only a minor difference when compared to the monolith, but in fact it provides a subtle and very powerful effect. Attention to the conversation is made easier, and so lengthy and in-depth discussions are more readily engaged.
Participation is naturally encouraged by a superior page design, resulting in improved quality overall and a richer, more personalized online experience.
Think of it like a late-night conversation among friends, by the fireplace in a room with a low ceiling—calm, thoughtful, real.
Why I Need You
I’ve been creating data-driven websites for 25 years. I know what it takes to bring something like this to life—and I’m all in. But I can’t do it alone.
This is a full-time job for the coming months. My goal is to raise $10,000 to cover basic living costs and promote the site once it’s ready.
I’ll share plenty of updates as I go, and I’ll invite you to be part of the journey. (Your ideas and suggestions matter!) Whether you donate or simply share this with someone else who might care, you’re helping something truly human come to life.
Thank you for reading. Thank you for believing that connection still matters. And thank you for standing with me.
