Irish Kidney Association and Transplant Service

Hi, my name is Darren and I am fundraising for the Irish Kidney Association and Transplant Service.

My dad, Martin, was one of the lucky recipients to receive a kidney transplant in February 2020. As a token of appreciation for the amazing care he and us as a family received I have decided to help raise awareness and vital funds for these amazing charities and organisations. These organisations are in place to help devote time to saving and improving lives by improving organ donation rates in Ireland, while also helping and providing resources to affected individuals and their family members.

I will be taking part in the world’s largest fun run, the City 2 Surf, in Sydney Australia on August 13th. This is a 14km run beginning in the Sydney CBD, through heartbreak hill before finishing at Bondi Beach.
