Irish Lung Cancer Community (ILCC)
Donation protected
A small but motivated group of likeminded individuals have come together to set up a patient-led group – The Irish Lung Cancer Community (ILCC). LCC's founding members consist of people living with lung cancer, those in a caregiving capacity and those with an interest in advocating for this disease.
The ILCC benefits:
• People with a current or previous diagnosis of lung cancer
• Family members and caregivers of people with lung cancer
• People at risk of lung cancer.
• The ILCC will help raise awareness about lung cancer, as well as destigmatise the disease, which may lead to earlier diagnosis.
• The ILCC will help raise awareness about lung cancer, as well as destigmatise the disease, which may lead to earlier diagnosis.
The vision of this group is that all people with lung cancer in Ireland will have the best chance of survival and live life as well as possible.
Our mission is to serve as the united voice of those impacted by lung cancer in Ireland, by creating a community that empowers all those affected by lung cancer through the provision of education, information and support and by promoting more positive perceptions about the disease.
Your support will help us to achieve our goals for the coming years.
We are currently embarking on a project to obtain charity status.
In the near future we would also like to set up an ILCC website.
