"Irish" Matthew Craig Sterrett Celebration of Life

“Longwinded, running through this life like it was mine
Never settling, but setting every goal high
One thousand burpees on the path to my own destruction or success
But what is a mistake without the lesson?
See, the best teacher in life is your own experience
None of us know who we are until we fail
They say every man is defined by his reaction to any given situation
Well who would you want to define you?
Someone else or yourself?
Whatever you do, homie, give your heart to it
And stay strong” ~Nipsey Hustle (I Do This lyrics © The Administration MP)
"Irish" may be the name many of you knew him by, but to his children, he was their safe haven, best friend, and dad. To the rest of the world, he was Matthew Craig Sterrett. He fought fiercely in every aspect of life. He fought to survive, he fought to let go, he fought to love, he fought to hate. But the most difficult battle he faced was the one within himself. On December 6th, 2024, he fought his final round and was defeated.
He was like a flame, drawing countless people towards him, yet allowing only a select few to feel his warmth. His intensity even scorched some. His son and daughters wish to honor his life with a celebration, but his oldest at only 18 years old needs financial assistance to bring together his brothers, family, and friends to bid him farewell. Let us unite to support his babies to give him the celebration he deserves.
