Running Belfast marathon for the Irish Red Cross

Hello,

I'm running my first-ever marathon in Belfast on April 30th. I have decided to use it as an opportunity to raise funds for the Irish Red Cross who are providing humanitarian support to vulnerable people at home and abroad including in Ukraine and to earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria.

The marathon takes place just over a year after my father passed away so I will also be running it in his memory. One of the last things he was planning before his untimely passing was a table quiz in support of the people of Ukraine. I have no doubt he would be responding similarly to the current crisis in Turkey and Syria if he were still with us today.

It will be my first crack at a marathon so all support, advice and donations will be warmly received.

I'll post weekly updates on my blog and you can also connect with me on Strava to track my progress.

Thanks in advance for your support. It means a lot.
