Help fund Ireland's no.1 female Skeleton athlete- Éire
Donation protected
Hi everyone! My name is Éire and I am a 21 year-old recent graduate and Irish Skeleton athlete.
After only starting Skeleton in November of 2023 I have finished the season with an overall North American Cup standing of 10th (out of 41 athletes). And a World Ranking of 56th, just 1 place off of a World Cup spot! I am the first female Irish Bobsleigh/Skeleton athlete for over a decade and I currently hold 4 National records.
Unfortunately, Skeleton is unfunded, meaning I must make my dream come true through the means of part-time work (alongside my training) and sponsorship efforts. I am seeking support to help fund my next season (2024/2025) where, I wish to compete in a full Europa Cup (EC) circuit, as well as representing Ireland in the Junior European and World Championships.
If I can generate enough ice time there is also a possibility for me to qualify for the 2026 Winter Olympics. If successful I would be the first ever female to represent Ireland at the Olympics for Skeleton!
I am also hoping to make history in the new mixed team event (1 male and 1 female athlete per nation) which, is debuting at the 2026 Winter Olympics!
Any donations big or small are greatly appreciated! Please feel free to get in touch: [email redacted]
How I will use funds raised:
Here are just some costs I need to finance each season...
- Sports Insurance- £1,000
- Race suits- £500-1,000
- Ice Spikes- £500
- Runners for my sled- £700 (per set)
- Helmet and spare visors- £700-1,000
- Each Europa Cup/North American Cup (8 per season) will also cost around £2,000! This cost will cover coaching, competition and training fees, accommodation and transport!
