Irma Flood Victims-DeJesus Family

I am writing this request on behalf of Roberto De Jesus and his family.  Roberto has been working at the Piedmont Plastics branch as a warehouse worker.  Roberto, Eve and their son Javian were in their home asleep during Hurricane Irma when the massive flood waters started pouring into the apartment.  Their unit was completely flooded with three to four foot of water.  Since the storm hit in the middle of the night, Roberto awoke to water nearing the top of their bed.  By the time he realized what was happening and how severe the situation was, he  literally had to break a window in his unit to get his family out of harm's way.
 
Their unit had such high waters that the refridgerator was floating in the apartment.  Once the waters got above three foot, the sewer gave way and he had sewer water everywhere.  The unit is  a complete loss.  Furniture, electronics, personal effects, family photo albums and pictures, toys, shoes, almost any thing imaginable, was ruined in these waters.  The DeJesus family lost all of their food but is trying to salvage what clothing they can by washing and sanitizing everything.  


The Piedmont Family is doing all we can to help get this family back on their feet.  In addition to having both of their vehicles totaled due to flood water, they will also need to secure new housing and replace almost all of their belongings.
