Hi, my name is Cosimo Carrieri, and I will be competing in the 2022 70.3 Atlantic City Ironman. I am challenging myself to do another Ironman to continue to give back to the world. Raising money for those in need and for important, impactful causes makes such a positive impact worldwide. This year, money will be raised for Ukrainian refugees and the Innocence Project. Last year when I competed in my first Ironman, I raised $3,700 to combat the devastation brought on by Covid19. This year, I am hoping we can raise more to continue to help save lives. But I can’t do it without all of you! So please join me in supporting these great organizations. Let’s continue to help people during challenging times. Alongside giving back, I will also be doing this race for me, to continue to challenge and push myself mentally and physically. My goal is to complete the Atlantic City Ironman in under 5 hours. The race involves a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride, and 13.1-mile run.
The IRONMAN Foundation “Gives Globally and Acts Locally” by providing grant funding and service project opportunities around the world in partnership with local nonprofit organizations. This year due to the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, the Ironman Foundation will be raising money for Ukrainian citizens during these tough times. Please help them as they flee and upend their lives.

The Innocence Project, founded in 1992 by Peter Neufeld and Barry Scheck at Cardozo School of Law, exonerates the wrongly convicted through DNA testing, and reforms the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice. So many people are wrongly convicted and spend time serving a sentence for something they did not do.
