Irwin Building - Photographers Fire Support
Donation protected
Early in the morning of December 4, 2022, downtown Columbus suffered a terrible fire that engulfed the historic Irwin Building. This building housed several businesses, including three photographers, who each had individual studios within this building.
Unfortunately, even after all the hard and diligent work by local fire departments, the building has been ruled a total loss. These three photographers, listed below, are now mapping out a plan to not only replace all of their props, equipment, paperwork, and much more - but they also have to seek out new studios to rent so that they can continue to do the work they love.
The photographers impacted are:
- Ambrose Schneider with Luminosity Studios
- Lauren Kirts with Lauren Kirts Photography
- Marinda Fowler with Marinda Fowler Photography
Due to the large-scale nature of the fire, the investigation, and other circumstances, the payout from insurance companies may not come for several months. Our goal with this fundraiser is to raise money to distribute evenly between the three photographers so that they can replace items/equipment lost, seek out new studio spaces, and take a little stress away from them during this holiday season.
We are hoping individuals and businesses in both our community, and beyond, will donate and support these small businesses, and everyone impacted by this fire, during this devestating time.
Our goal is currently set at $15,000 (or $5,000 per photography business owner).
These three women have turned their passions into their businesses - if you know or have worked with any of these three, you know that their love runs deep for the work they do and that they care for the clients, families, seniors, couples, and people that they work with. Now is our chance to come together and support them. Thanks for reading this far and thank you for helping those impacted by this fire!
